“Seattle Sampler” Dine, Dance, & Activity Calendar

June 11-14, 2018



Below, you will find a list of some of the many social partner dance venue options that are available to you this week to go out and sample.  This list is by no means comprehensive, but does cover those social-partnered dance venues that have good local reputations for being friendly to visiting dancers, and which emphasize the fun, social aspects of partnered dance (as opposed to focussing on performance or competition)


Each day we also encourage you to explore some of the wonderful sites and resources that are available to you for fun and play in the region.  CLICK HERE to see a list of recommendations of things to do in & around Seattle.  Again, this list is in no way comprehensive, but is simply those places or activities recommended by members of the Seattle dance community that they think would be enjoyed by anyone from out of town.  On Tues, Wed, and Thur, Ari will lead a tour of some part of the city for folks who would like to stay in town (See the "City Outings" listed below).  Otherwise I encourage you to check out whatever sites you like or do whatever actives might interest you the most.


Each evening, Monday through Thursday, after you’ve spent your day exploring, we will plan on meeting as a group for dinner to share our stories and to plan for the dancing to come that evening.  The dinner locations and times are posted below:

TUESDAY CITY OUTING WITH ARI:  "Seattle Center" Area

  • 10:00am:   Meet at the Chihuly Museum Entrance.  We'll explore the Chihuly Museum, 305 Harrison St, Seattle (at the base of the Space Needle).  Admission = $29
  • 12:00pm:  Lunch in the Armory (There is a food court with many excellent cuisine selections)
  • 2:00pm:  Tour of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, 440 5th Ave N., Seattle  (FREE)
  • Other Options on your own after lunch:  
    • You can check out the Museum of Pop Culture (formerly the Experience Music Project) across the street from the Gates Foundation building, 325 5th Ave N. Seattle.  Admission = $26
